Audi dominate free practice

Audi totally dominated the last free practice session before qualifying. Mattias Ekström was fastest with 1:33.618, ahead of three of his team mates. Tomczyk was second, Kristensen third and Heinz-Harald Frentzen fourth.

Best Mercedes-driver was Jean Alesi who is driving a 05 spec’ Mercedes C-Class. Best 06 spec’ Mercedes-driver was Bernd Schneider in eigth place, but still within one second of Ekström’s time. It will be interestning to see if Mercedes can reply to this Audi-dominance in qualifying, something we will find out later this afternoon.
