Bleekemolen 3rd in 1000km race

Past weekend, Jeroen Bleekemolen – back in DTM since the Brands Hatch round as driver of a team Futurecom TME entered Audi A4 DTM – contested the Nürburgring 1000km-Race. Together with his compatriot, Mike Hezemans, the Dutchman took his Spyker C8 Spyder GT2R to third place in the LMGT2 class.

The 170 laps completed by the pairing on the Nürburgring’s 5.137-kilometre GP circuit represented a welcome preparation for Bleekemolen as the sixth round of the season, taking place following this weekend’s season highlight at the Norisring, will also be held at the Eifel circuit. Still, the 20 DTM racers entered by Audi and Mercedes-Benz will race on the Nürburging’s shorter 3.629-kilometre layout, thus providing the crowds even more action.
