Abt dominates free practice

Christian Abt was quickest of the free practice session today at Zandvoort. He topped the list in his year old Audi A4 ahead of previous champion Mattias Ekström in second and Heinz-Harald Frentzen in third. Audi continues their dominance by taking seven places in the top ten. Daniel La Rosa was quickest of the Mercedes-drivers in fourth.

Christian Abt’s year old Audi wasn’t the only older car keeping a high pace. In fact five cars of the top six were either 2005 spec’ or 2004 spec’. Nicolas Kiesa was on of them in a 2004 spec’ Audi A4, impressing by taking seventh ahead of his team mate and title contender Tom Kristensen.
