Did you know that…
…the winner, Tom Kristensen, held the lead for 37 laps. The only time he lost the lead for one lap – to Daniel La Rosa – was following his first pit stop.

…Jamie Green set the fastest lap time of the entire weekend, in the second leg of the qualifying session, by lapping the 4.307-kilometre track in 1:32.038 minutes, representing an average speed of 168.4kph.
…three drivers succeeded in improving their championship positions, at Zandvoort. Martin Tomczyk moved up by two positions, from sixth to fourth place, Heinz-Harald Frentzen from eighth to sixth and Timo Scheider from twelfth to eleventh position.

…Martin Tomczyk secured his second consecutive podium finish. Just as he had done at the Nürburgring, the Rosenheimer finished third in the Dutch DTM round. His last podium finish secured prior to the Nürburgring round was the one clinched in the 2004 season finale at the Hockenheimring.
…DTM returnee Timo Scheider finished sixth at Zandvoort, thus securing his best result of the 2006 DTM season so far and being the best driver of a 2005-spec car at the same time. In the Drivers’ Championship, Scheider gained one position to hold eleventh place, now.
…14 of the 20 drivers currently contesting the 2006 DTM season succeeded in scoring points. Frank Stippler, Daniel La Rosa, Susie Stoddart, Vanina Ickx, Mathias Lauda and Nicolas Kiesa are the drivers that are still waiting for scoring their maiden points.
…the DTM drivers completed 2,445 laps at the Circuit Park Zandvoort, representing a total mileage of 10,530.615 kilometres.
…Nicolas Kiesa again turned out to be the busiest driver, at Zandvoort. From Friday to and including Sunday, the Dane completed 154 laps on the 4.307-kilometre racetrack, representing a total mileage of 663.278 kilometres. In his DTM debut appearance, at the Nürburgring, he also was the driver to cover the highest mileage. While Christian Abt was the driver that completed the fewest laps: just 83 (357.481 kilometres).
…the ten Mercedes-Benz drivers completed 25 laps more than their Audi rivals. Häkkinen, Schneider & Co lapped the dune circuit 1,230 times, thus covering 5,296.610 kilometres.
