Christian Klien declines DTM offer

Formula 1 driver Christian Klien won’t switch to DTM next year. The Austrian was denied a seat for next year with his current team in Formula 1, Red Bull racing. Instead, he was offered a seat with Audi in the DTM to race one of the Red Bull-sponsored cars and a seat in the American Champcar series.

Red Bull want to know if Christian Klien takes up one of the offers by tommorow, but Red Bull-adviseur Helmut Marko already reveiled that Klien won’t race in DTM next year. “Christian has already declined the DTM-offer. In Champcar PKV-teamboss Kevin Kalkhoven is holding a seat for Red Bull, but that’s only valid untill saturday. We don’t want to waste any more valuable time” , Marko said.
