Bruno Spengler takes Le Mans pole

Bruno Spengler from Canada took the first ever DTM Le Mans pole position. Spengler took pole with a very small margin to Tom Kristensen in second. Only 0.032 seconds separated the two. Previous Formula One champion Mika Häkkinen took third position ahead of Green and Abt.

While Kristensen is on the front row, Schneider had to settle for ninth position ahead of Ekström. So far it looks like Kristensen still have a chance to gain on the Mercedes-driver in the fight for the title.

Thed Björk took 16:th position, right ahead of Jean Alesi, with a time of 1:32.006 becoming the best 2004 spec’ Audi A4.

Next up is the warm up tomorrow at 09.20 EST. The race starts at 14.03. Stay tuned for comments from the drivers!
