Jamie Green tops free practice

Jamie Green of the Salzgitter AMG Mercedes team topped the first free practice session of the day at Le Mans. The Brit lapped the track in 1:31.293 which was 0.058 seconds faster than Audi’s Mattias Ekström in second place. Ekström’s Audi colleauge Christian Abt took third place.

DTM newcomer and STCC-champion Thed Björk set 14:th quickest time right behind Häkkinen and right infront of Kaffer. Björk continues to impress by being the fastest 2004 spec’ car in each session. The condition at the track today is overcast with a air temperature of 16 degrees.

Qualfying starts at 13.37 EST.
