Decision closing for Thed Björk

The champion of the Swedish Touring Car Championship 2006 – Thed Björk is still waiting for a decision from Audi regarding a drive for him in the Deutche Tourenwagen Masters 2007. Björk met up with folks from Audi Germany together with his team boss from Kristoffersson Motorsport – Tommy Kristoffersson in Stockholm a couple of weeks ago.
“Apparently it stands between me and a Englishman,” Björk said to Nerikes Allehanda.

The meeting in Stockholm mainly covered the STCC-programme for Audi in 2007. But for Björk the hot subject was Audi’s plans for him. Team manager Kristoffersson was pleased with the meeting but is not giving any more details.

“I am pleased, but right now it is a bit sensitive,” Kristoffersson said.

A decision will be made within one or two weeks according to Björk, who is not optimistic about his chances compared to his competing Englishman.

“I have heard that the market is quite small in Sweden while it is rather big in England,” Björk said.

Who the Englishman he is competing with for the drive is so far unknown.
