Frank Biela penalised

Audi stand in Frank Biela will be penalised for an infringement in free practice. The conclusion of the stewards: “In sector 2 during free practice of the DTM the driver disrespected the yellow flags shown there and failed to reduce his speed considerably.”

The Monaco-based driver, who won the 1991 DTM title, will be put back five places on the grid for tomorrow’s race. This means Biela will start from 20th on the grid, as he qualified as 18th fastest.
