Rockenfeller quickest in second test
Mike Rockenfeller has set the fastest time in the second test of the day at the Hockenheimring. He just outpaced his teammate Timo Scheider. Scheider was just 0.049 quicker slower than Rockenfeller, who set a time of 1:33.860. Fastest time of the day was for Martin Tomczyk, one of the three title contenders this weekend. He set a time of 1:33.825 in the first test, whereas he was fourth fastest in the second test.
The other title contender at Audi, Mattias Ekström, had a slow start of the day in first test, but showed his good pace in the second test. He was fifth quickest with a time of 1:34.214.
Mercedes’ title contender Bruno Spengler could not keep up with the pace in the second test as he could in the first test. He finished in eleventh, almost seven tenths slower as Rockenfeller.
