Audi trio on top in practice

Audi took the first three places in the morning practice at Hockenheim ahead of qualifying later today. Martin Tomczyk was fastest ahead of Timo Scheider and Mattias Ekstrom. But with Bruno Spengler in fourth place all three title candidates continue to follow each other closely.

Tomczyk was topping the time sheets throughout most of the session and continues to look strong at Hockenheim. “There is still a long way to go before it’s finished, he said. But so far so good, it’s looking good at the moment.”

Mattias Ekstrom was further behind in the time sheets but towards the end he set a time good enough for third place and is relaxed ahead of qualifying. “We will see what happens in qualifying but it was a good practice this morning so I’m happy”
