New DTM Audi A4 ready for testing

Audi is working hard on the new Audi A4 for the Deutche Tourenwagen Meisters 2008. Design of the car started in June this year. The prototype car for the new A4 is internally called R14 and has already made its test debut. The first test with the new car will be done before New Year. After that an intensive testing programme will be conducted before the season start on April 13th.

”Quite obviously it’s our goal to successfully defend the DTM title,” said Audi Motorsport Director Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich.

“The production version of the new Audi A4 represents a major step forward and has won many benchmark tests and important awards even before having hit the market. And we will give our very best to create a racing car that will do justice to the production car’s reputation.”
