“Schumi’s not talented enough for DTM”

Michael Schumacher advises his brother not to go to DTM. According to him both of them don’t have the talent to be competitive in the German Touring Car championship. Schumacher commented to the rumours about his brother at the Ferrari Press day at Madonna di Campiglio.

“I wouldn’t recomend it to him at all”, Michael said. “I don’t think Ralf and I have the talent to be fast in a DTM car. I’m to slow in it and I’ve already tried it once. I don’t think Ralf would have the pace either.”

“When you have the time to fully commit to it, it might work out. But most of the drivers that went from Formula 1 to DTM only had a few minor successes, but nothing more”, Michael Schumacher continued.

“The DTM is a completely diffent world. The competition there is very intens. You have to work equally hard in DTM as in Formula 1, but you’re driving a car there that you can’t set up to you’re own likings. In F1 you can do that.”
