Update on new Audi and Mercedes drivers
There are still a number of seats available in the Audi and Mercedes-teams of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. The most discussed potential new DTM-driver is Ralf Schumacher. No contract has been signed yet, but according to our information a plan has been made. If Schumacher signs the deal he would get around 2 million € and drive a 2007 specification Mercedes C-Class before moving on to a 2009 spec’ next year.
Three other drivers are also up for a Mercedes-drive in 2008. The names on the list are Christian Klien, Marco Engel and Michael Ammermüller. Engel is reported to be on the list for the Mücke Motorsport, to drive with Susie Stoddart.
Over at Audi three names have been mentioned. Katherine Legge is, as we reported, earlier the hottest name to drive for the TME team and represent the female Audi-driver.
Christijan Albers and Olivier Jarvis are both reported to be up for an Audi-drive with Albers in a 2006 car and Jarvis in a 2007 car.
