No DTM for Christian Klien

While Ralf Schumacher is moving closer and closer to DTM, the previous reports about Christian Klien also going to DTM are dismissed. The BMW Sauber F1-team confirmed Klien as their test and reserve driver. Earlier in January Klien took part in the tests at Estoril with Mercedes, driving a DTM Mercedes C-Class.

Instead Klien is continuing his F1-track and now has only got 100 kilometres to his new job.

“It will offer me the opportunity to drive to headquarters and cooperate closely with the team,” said Klien on the BMW Sauber F1-site.

“We want to celebrate our maiden Grand Prix win in 2008. The competition between the four top teams will be as tough as it was in the recent past and I expect the BMW Sauber F1 Team to be a key factor when it comes to providing Formula 1 fans all around the world with another thrilling season. It is most definitely one of the best teams.”
