Audi driver situation updated with Jarvis

As TouringCarTimes previously have reported, A1GP-driver Olivier Jarvis is on the way to sign for Audi in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. Recently retired Audi-racer Christian Abt told Crash.net that the Brit is is most likely to join Audi.
“The young drivers. There’s Tomczyk, Oliver Jarvis has joined Audi and he is very good, and Prémat for me is one of the top drivers in the DTM, along with Spengler and di Resta,” said Abt.

The 24 year old Jarvis has previously raced F3 in Japan and tested for the McLaren F1-team. According to our information Jarvis will be behind the wheel of a 2007 specification Audi together with Alexandre Prémat, Markus Winkelhock, Katherine Legge and Mike Rockenfeller.

The situation for the 2006 specification cars are a bit more unclear. It seems that Audi will run only two cars of 2006 spec this season. Christijan Albers and Andreas Wirth tested for Audi last week at Paul Richard in France. According to our information they could be up for the two 2006 spec Audi A4.
