Di Resta gets 2008 spec Mercedes

Paul di Resta will get to drive a new 2008 specification Mercedes C-Class in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters this season.
“This is another learning year for Paul. We’re not making any big plans for him because we should not be placing these expectations on him yet,” said Mercedes team HWA technical director Gerhard Ungar to Autosport.

“He can win races this year but the main thing is to gain experience with the team. He can be a champion in the future.”

The Brit finished fifth in the championship 2007 and scored four podiums in only his first DTM season ever.
