Maro Engel set to get Mercedes-seat

It seems that Maro Engel will secure one of the last remaining seats in the DTM Mercedes-team. Engel drove British Formula 3 last year and the new deal for DTM is expected to be revealed later this week. Previous rumours about Engel going to the Formula Masters series IFM seems to be out from the scene.

If Engel joins the Mercedes squad it is most likely that he will drive a 2007 specification car. Other drivers up for 2007 cars are Ralf Schumacher, Gary Paffett, Mathias Lauda and Susie Stoddart.
