Audi fastest in second session

The new Audi A4 dominated the second Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters test session at Mugello track in Italy today.
Alexandre Prémat set fastest time round the 5,245 kilometer track in 1:56.887 almost 1.381 seconds faster than fellow Audi driver Mike Rockenfeller who managed 1:58.268. Danish driver Tom Kristensen was third fastest with a time of 1:58.451.

Although Audi’s filled the top three places, it was the 2007 spec Mercedes of DTM-newcomer Maro Engel that set a quicker time in session one. Engler could only manage a 1:58.600 in the second session.

Canadian Bruno Spengler posted a time of 1:58.513 as the fastest AMG Mercedes C-Klasse . Former DTM Champion Bernd Schneider posted sixth the fastest time 1:58.617.
