Mücke thinks Ralf will be at the top

Team boss Peter Mücke believes that Ralf Schumacher can be right in the top of the Deutsche Torenwagen Maters already in his first season. Schumacher makes his DTM debut with Mücke Motorsport in less than a month.
“The competitiveness of the DTM grid is outstanding, hence, it is difficult to make it to the very top. But if everything runs perfectly and you deliver when it counts, everything is possible,” said Mücke to DTM.de.

Team mate to Schumacher is going to be Maro Engel who has shown a strong performance in the early pre season testing this year.

”No doubt, the two drivers have got completely different histories. But this doesn’t make a difference when it comes to working on the track. They both are professional and focused drivers,” said Mücke.

Despite having a previous Formula One-driver in the team and very much focus from the press, Mücke does not feel that the pressure has increased.

“Actually, the situation hasn’t changed, for us. At the bottom line, Ralf behaves like a Formula 3 driver – he’s down to earth and focused, without displaying any airs and graces.”
