Mattias Ekström tops Oschersleben test

“It is a test after all, but of course it is nice to be just 0.027 seconds behind Ekström. It shows that we are very close to them,” said Scheider to DTM.de.

“The weather has been much better here compared to the test at Mugello. It is still early, but we will see more clearly on Saturday at Hockenheim how the balance between the teams are,” said Scheider.

Third fastest was Mercedes-ace Paul Di Resta, ahead of his Mercedes colleauge Jamie Green. Alexandre Prémat was fifth with Mike Rokenfeller sixth.

DTM-newcomer and previous F1-driver Ralf Schumacher was seventh in his 2007 spec’ Mercedes C-Class.
