Di Resta fastest in wet second test

On a wet track, Scottish Paul di Resta has set the fastest time in the second of today’s tests at the Hockenheimring. Where Audi had the top 7 positions in the first test, it was now a Mercedes who topped the test in preparation of the first DTM race of the season in Germany.

Audi however was again very strong in the second practise session, claiming second till seventh position. Timo Scheider was the fastest Audi man, followed by reigning champion Mattias Ekström. Martin Tomczyk, who had set the fastest time in the first test, finished the second test in fourth.

Tomorrow the weekend will continue with the free practise session at 09.40h. The qualifying for the first round of the 2008 DTM championship will start at half past one CET.
