Bruno Spengler sets fastest time
During this mornings free practise the Canadian driver Bruno Spengler has set the fastest time. The vice champion of last year 0.266s faster than Mattias Ekström, who has finished in the top two in every session this weekend so far. Spenglers time of 1:42.425 was over two seconds faster than the quickest time of yesterday, driven by Ekström.
Timo Scheider finished the session in third place, almost half a second slower than Spengler. Jamie Green was fourth fastest, just ahead of Tom Kristensen.
Mike Rockenfeller was the fastest man in a 2007 car. The Audi driver was sixth fastest, ahead of Markus Winkelhock, who also driver a 2007 Audi A4 DTM. Gary Paffett was the fastest 2007 Mercedes-driver, posting 13th fastest time.
Qualifying for the tomorrow’s race will start at 13:28 CET.
