Tom Kristensen on top in warm-up

Danish driver Tom Kristensen set the fastest time during the warm-up session for todays race at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz. Kristensen was two tenths quicker than his Audi team mate Timo Scheider. Pole sitter Paul di Resta finished in third, three tenths of the pace.

The mechanics of the Futurecom TME team don’t have time for a break until the race starts. “All of a sudden, the left side bodywork of my car came loose when I was driving”, said Katherine Legge after an “open air” lap at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz. “Currently, we don’t know what the reason was, we have to find out. In any case, it was quite fresh.“ The bodywork parts were inspected in the pit box of the team after the warm-up session. The first analysis didn’t reveal any faults.

Christijan Albers was halted by a loose wheel nut after a pit stop. The Dutchman had to park his 2006-spec Audi A4 DTM at the pit lane exit.
