Bruno Spengler remains on top at Norisring

Bruno Spengler was fastest again in the Norisring free practice on Saturday morning. His fastest lap was 48.128 which was only 0.032 seconds faster than Timo Scheider of Audi. Third was Mercedes and DTM-legend Bernd Schneider.

Reigning champion Mattias Ekström was fourth fastest ahead of Paul Di Resta, Martin Tomczyk, Jamie Green and Tom Kristensen – making it Mercedes-Audi-Mercedes-Audi-Mercedes-Audi-Mercedes-Audi in the top eight.

Gary Paffet was ninth fastest and the fastest driver in a year-old car. The Brit was 0.405 seconds slower than Bruno Spengler. Olivier Jarvis was the last man to make it in to top ten.

Qualifying starts at 13.30 CET.
