Lewis Hamilton to do demo-run at Brands

Winner of the British GP, Lewis Hamilton, will join the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters race at Brands Hatch next month. The Brit will do a demonstration-run with his McLaren Formula One-car.
“I am really looking forward to visiting a DTM race again. I have fond memories of the time when I competed in the Formula 3 Euro Series, which is run as a supporting event to the DTM races,” said Hamilton to Autosport.

“I really like the atmosphere of the DTM and the great racing which this series is famous for. I very much enjoyed my 2005 season when I became the Formula 3 Euro Series Champion and when the Mercedes-Benz DTM team celebrated my title win in Zandvoort together with me.”

Brands Hatch manager Jonathan Palmer is delighted over having the national hero during the DTM-race.

“We’re obviously delighted that Lewis will be joining us at Brands Hatch for the DTM event in August. It’s going to be a fantastic weekend, and I’m really excited that we’re able to offer British fans a chance to see Lewis in action in this year’s Vodafone McLaren Mercedes,” said Palmer.
