Tom Kristensen sets the pace in Spain

The Dane Tom Kristensen moved up from second fastest in the first practice session to fastest in the second practice session in Spain. Kristensen’s best time was 1:08.113 in his Audi A4. The margin down to Mattias Ekström in second place was very small. Both Ekström and third placed Mike Rockenfeller came within less than one hundredth of a second.

Oliver Jarvis secured Audi 1-2-3-4 and best placed Mercedes-driver was Bruno Spengler in fifth. The Canadian was 0.203 seconds slower than Kristensen in the top.

Alexandre Prémat was sixth ahead of championship leader Timo Scheider, who was fastest in the first practice session. Paul di Resta was eight ahead of Bernd Schneider and Jamie Green.

A total of 15 cars set laptimes within one second.
