Tom Kristensen fastest in warm-up

At the end of the warm-up session, there were three Audi drivers at the top of the list. Tom Kristensen was fastest, followed closely by polesitter Mattias Ekström, who was just over a tenth slower. In third place was championship leader Timo Scheider, 0.064s behind Ekström. Scheider’s biggest rival in the title fight, Paul di Resta, was not far behind either. He was in fourth place, 0.039s slower than Scheider.

Bernd Schneider finished his last DTM warm-up session of his career in fifth, just ahead of his team mates Bruno Spengler and Jamie Green. Martin Tomczyk (Audi) completed the top eight with only 2008 cars in it.

Behind the eight 2008 cars there wasn’t a 2007 car, but a 2006 car. Christijan Albers seems very keen on showing the Audi management one more time this season what he is capable off.

Apart from a small fire in front of the Audi pitboxes, there were no incidents during the warm-up session.
