Champion Scheider fastest at Hockenheim

Reigning champion Timo Scheider is back on top during the second Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters test at Hockenheim. The German lapped the track in 1:33.774 and was merely two hundredths of a second ahead of Gary Paffett in the Mercedes C-Class. Third fastest was Alexandre Prémat with a time of 1:33.812 seconds.

Maro Engel was fourth fastest in the 2008 specification Mercedes C-Class ahead of Mike Rockenfeller in the Audi A4 from the same year.

Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline drivers Mattias Ekström and Martin Tomczyk followed each other and was sixth and seventh.

Ekström’s best time was 1:34.289 and Tomczyk’s best was 1:34.760. Both were driving 2009 specification Audi A4.

Susie Stoddart, Ralf Schumacher and Katherine Legge rounded rounded off top ten.
