Paul di Resta fastest on third testing day

At the end of the third day of testing at the Hockenheimring in Germany it was Mercedes driver Paul di Resta who had set the fastest time. The runner up from last year lapped the track in a time of 1:33.378. He just outpaced Audi driver Mattias Ekström, who was second with a time that was 0.046s slower.

Oliver Jarvis, who had set the fastest lap time in the morning session, ended the day in third. He was close to Di Resta as well, being only 0.060s slower than the Scottish driver.

Timo Scheider, last years champion and fastest yesterday, had to settle for sixth position at the end of the day. He was just over half a second slower than Di Resta.

Tomorrow the last day of testing will take place at the Hockenheim circuit. Two weeks after that the DTM will have it’s opening weekend at the same track.
