Mercedes on top on day four

Bruno Spengler topped the fourth day of the official testing at Hockenheim. The Canadian lapped the track in 1:32.994 seconds, being only 0.046 seconds faster than Mike Rockenfeller. Spengler is driving a 2009 specification Mercedes while Rockenfeller is driving a 2008 specification Audi.

Third fastest was the Brit Paul di Resta who was only 0.015 seconds behind Rockenfeller.

Jamie Green was fifth fastest, making it four Mercedes in the top five of the test day.

Alexandre Prémat was sixth fastest ahead of the Swede and Audi driver Mattias Ekström. Prémat was 0.325 seconds slower than Spengler while Ekström was 0.624 seconds slower.

Mathias Lauda was eight fastest ahead of Martin Tomczyk.
