Bruno Spengler aims for the top
Canadian Mercedes driver Bruno Spengler aims for the top at Eurospeedway Lausitzring this week after scoring zero points in the season opener at Hockenheim.
“I like the Lausitzring, and I am looking forward to race there,” said Spengler on his website.
Spengler started 19th in the first race at Hockenheim and fought his way up to fifth.
Unfortunately the suspension broke a couple of laps before the end which forced him to retire.
“The right rear suspension broke. Probably a consequence of a contact in the first lap of the race. It was a shame,” said Spengler.
Last year Spengler finished sixth in the race at Lausitzring, a position the Canadian aims to improve this year.
“I like the Lausitzring, and I am looking forward to race there. Qualifyings will be tough, because the track is quite short, and the gaps will be small, and the fight willl be hard to clinch a position in the front rows of the grid,” said Spengler.
