Spengler fastest in morning warm-up
Canadian Bruno Spengler has set the fastest time in the morning warm-up ahead of this afternoons race at the Norisring. The Mercedes driver lapped the 2.3 km track in 48.882.
The top twelve was within two tenths of a second, whereas the entire field was within one second.
Mathias Lauda ended the session in second, ahead of Jamie Green, Susie Stoddart and Paul di Resta. Best Audi driver was Mattias Ekström in sixth place.
Markus Winkelhock, whose car was destroyed during yesterdays practise session, made it out today and set the nineth fastest time. Because he was unable to qualify yesterday, he will start the race from last on the grid.
