No final Zandvoort results before friday

Due to the ongoing investigation of the tactics of Audi during the race at Zandvoort, no final results have been published yet. Today DMSB announced that the results are going to remain provisional until July 31st. The involved Audi drivers are Mattias Ekström, Oliver Jarvis and Alexandre Prémat.

What sparked the investigation was that Jarvis and Prémat seemingly slowed down to let past the charging Ekström in the closing stages of the race.

The DMSB is currently checking the data recordings of the Audi drivers in order to see if it actually was team orders that caused them to slow down.

“The reason for the examination is the accusation of team order that is forbidden according to paragraph 20.2 of the DTM regulations.

To find out the truth, the DTM experts checked data such as speed, acceleration, deceleration and the radio communication with the drivers involved as well as the TV pictures and lap times,” a DSMB statement read.
