Dr. Ullrich upset over team crashes

Audi Motorsport boss Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich is upset over the recent crashes between Audi drivers. At Nürburgring Audi colleauges Oliver Jarvis and Alexandre Prémat clashed.
“I am very angry and disappointed! Both of our drivers had the chance to score important points for the championship,” said Ullrich to TouringCarTimes.com.

Another similar incident was the one between Prémat and Mike Rockenfeller during the race at Oschersleben.

“I have talked to my drivers about this several times before. I really hope that we will not see these accidents in the future,” said Ullrich.

Despite the accidents, Audi has had the edge over Mercedes during the last couple of races. But Ullrich does not want to read anything out of that.

“I think we have to be careful with that. We should not assume that we are stronger than Mercedes because of two strong races.

Audi and Mercedes have scored three victories each this season. That shows a good balance between the two manufacturers,” said Ullrich.

Four races remain of the DTM season 2009, with Brands Hatch coming up next. Ullrich expects a close fight for the remainder of the season.

“I am pretty sure that we will se four interesting races! Audi are going to be well prepared for the races to win the championship again!” said Ullrich.
