Paul di Resta fastest at Brands practice

The Brit Gary Paffett was fastest as the Deutsche Tourenwagen Master cars were let out at Brands Hatch for the first practice session. The Mercedes driver lapped the short track in 41.849 seconds. The times were really close through out the entire field as usual at Brands: 18 cars were within one second.

Second fastest and best Audi driver was reigning champion Timo Scheider, 0.121 seconds behind.

Jamie Green made it two Mercedes in top three, only six hundredths of a second behind Scheider.

Oliver Jarvis took fourth position ahead of Gary Paffett. Mattias Ekström was really close to Paffett, only one hundredths of a second separated the both.

Maro Engel was seventh fastest ahead of Tom Kristensen and Markus Winkelhock. Previous race winner Martin Tomczyk rounded off top ten.
