Kristensen takes pole at Barcelona
Tom Kristensen took the Spanish pole position, only just ahead of rival Mercedes driver Paul Di Resta. Their best times was separated with six hundredths of a second. Martin Tomczyk took the third spot on the grid in his Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline prepared Audi A4.
Bruno Spengler took fourth despite seemingly having engine problems on his fast lap.
The Mercedes started to sound rough a couple of corners before the finish line and came to a halt a few corners after the lap was completed.
Gary Paffett is going to start fifth ahead of reigning champion Timo Scheider.
Mattias Ekström was seventh fastest, six tenths behind Kristensen, ahead of Alexandre Prémat and Oliver Jarvis.
Maro Engel took the final position in top ten, four tenths behind Kristensen.
