Scheider tops free practice in Spain
Timo Scheider topped the first free practice session of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters weekend at Barcelona in Spain. The German lapped the track in 1:07.049, just three hundredths of a second faster than Audi colleague Martin Tomczyk.
Mattias Ekström and Oliver Jarvis made it four Audis on the top of the times today. Ekström was third, 0.132 behind and Jarvis fourth, 0.367 seconds behind.
Ralf Schumacher was the best Mercedes driver in fifth, lapping the track with a time that was half a second slower compared to Scheider.
Gary Paffett was sixth fastest ahead of Bruno Spengler and Alexandre Prémat.
