First look on the DTM 2010 calendar

The Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters calendar for 2010 has not been released officially yet. But the FIA international calendar has revealed nine races for the German championship, starting and ending at Hockenheim as usual.

A tenth race is expected to be added, most likely in the gap between Brands Hatch and the finale at Hockenheim.

The French track Dijon originally had a three year contract with the DTM, but ended it after just one year due to financial difficulties.

The DTM organization has stated that they are aiming to find a tenth race, a replacement for Dijon.

“We want to stay at 10 races, so we are looking for another track so we don’t have to visit another of the existing tracks twice. But it won’t be in France,” said an ITR spokesman to Autosport.

There are no other major changes to the calendar compared to last year.
