Anthony Davidson tested for Audi

Previous Formula One driver Anthony Davidson has tested for the Audi team of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters.
“I would definitely be interested in racing in the DTM. They invited me to come and do the test and you can’t turn down a company like Audi,” said to Autosport.

Davidson has been in and out in Formula One since 2002 and made his last appearance in 2008 for Super Aguri.

“I’ve tried very hard to get back into F1 and I’m still trying, but with the chances of finding something diminishing there I’ve decided to look at opportunities elsewhere,” said Davidson.

Davidson completed the DTM test in Spain together with Mika Maki and Jean-Karl Vernay, from the F3 Euro Series, Carrera Cup-drivers Rene Rast and Jan Seyffarthand, former A1GP driver Filipe Albuquerque plus Formula Renault 3.5 driver Miguel Molina.

The Brit says that if he would get the chance to drive DTM for Audi, he would be more than pleased.

“I’ve always wanted to drive a DTM car,” said Davidson.
