New date for Oschersleben race

The DTM race at Oschersleben in 2010 has been moved backwards on the calendar. Originally planned in the first weekend of May, the event will now take place from the 17th untill 19th of September. Reason for the change is an alteration on the Formula 1 calendar.

Although the official calendar hasn’t been confirmed by the ITR yet, it is expected to be published within the next couple of days.

“The ITR has asked us if changing the date for the event was possible. We were happy to help with that, because the DTM is a highlight on our calendar each year”, Thomas Voss, director of the Oschersleben Motorsport Arena said.

“Even though the new date is more attractive for us, it being in the summer, it does mean we will have to work hard in that period. That’s because the World Touring Car Championship will visit us two weeks before the DTM will. But we will be more than able to cope with this and are looking forward to a great September month with a lot of racing at the Motorsport Arena.”
