Coulthard closes in on Prémat at Valencia

Alexandre Prémat stayed on top of the first day of official Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters testing at Valencia. But former Formula One driver David Coulthard held an impressive pace and put the second fastest time of the day, just 0.059 seconds behind Prémat.

Markus Winkelhock was third fastest of the fist test day, right ahead of Bruno Spengler.

Ralf Schumacher was fifth fastest, three tenths behind Prémat, ahead of Swedish Audi racer Mattias Ekström.

Reinging champion Timo Scheider was seventh fastest ahead of Susie Stoddart and Chinese Mercedes driver Chong Fu Cheng.

The testing at the Spanish track Valencia continues until the 27th of March.
