Ralf Schumacher fastest in Valencia

Mercedes-Benz driver Ralf Schumacher left the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters test at Valencia on top of the time-sheets, after an impressive showing at the wheel of his C-Class.

After languishing down in sixth during the morning session, Schumacher leapt to the top of the pile during the afternoon session.

He enjoyed 122 laps of running during the day, and used the testing miles to set the fastest time of all, lapping the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in 1:28.566.

Running a close second was young Spaniard Miguel Molina. The DTM rookie looked perfectly comfortable at the wheel of the Audi A4 DTM, and with a time of 1:28.573 he showed he will be one to watch when the season gets underway.

The test at the Valencia circuit gave the attending drivers vital experience and information for the race scheduled at the circuit in May.
