Magnificent seven for Audi in practice

Audi locked out the first seven positions in the opening practice session at Valencia on Friday afternoon. Oliver Jarvis led the way, recording a 1:30.189 to head reigning DTM Champion Timo Scheider and Mike Rockenfeller, with local hero Miguel Molina in fifth position.

Mattias Ekström (fourth), Martin Tomczyk (sixth) and Alexandre Prémat (seventh) completed Audi’s magnificent seven.

Fastest non-Audi was Jamie Green in eighth, almost 1.2 seconds down on the time of his countryman Jarvis, with Ralf Schumacher the second fastest driver from the three-pointed star.

DTM rookie David Coulthard ended the opening practice session in 17th place.
