Ekström tops Norisring first free practice

Swedish Audi driver Mattias Ekström topped the first free practice at Norisring. The Swede lapped the track in 49.090 and was followed by three Audi colleagues: Timo Scheider, Martin Tomczyk and Alexandre Prémat.

Best Mercedes driver was Maro Engel in fifth, just below three tenths behind Ekström’s time.

Mike Rockenfeller claimed sixth ahead of Ralf Schumacher, Jamie Green and Bruno Spengler. David Coulthard rounded off top ten.
