Prémat could be forced to leave Audi

Alexandre Prémat has been given a yellow card and a huge fine by Audi. A second incident for the Frenchman would mean that he has to leave Audi.
“The next yellow is also a yellow-red one, like in football,” said Audi Motorsport spokesman Jürgen Pippig.

The penalty has been issued after the, for the Frenchman, embarrassing incident at Lausitzring.

Prémat hit team mate Mattias Ekström from behind in the start of the DTM race at Lausitzring, a clash that resulted in further incidents.

Ekström took out Mercedes-driver David Coulthard and reigning champion Timo Scheider sustained damage on his Audi as well.

“That is something of a nightmare,” said Audi Motorsport boss Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich.
