Penalty for Martin Tomczyk

Audi-driver Martin Tomczyk has been penalized after the qualifying session and moved from 11th to 14th position on the grid ahead of the race at Nürburgring.

Tomczyk’s team broke the parc fermé regulation right after the qualifying session.

The team removed the wheels of the car despite it being under parc fermé, something resulting in the stewards removing all his times in the second qualifying heat.

Tomczyk has won two times at Nürburgring, 2007 and 2009.
