Prémat fastest in rain-delayed warm-up

Alexandre Prémat topped the rain-delayed warm-up session at Nürburgring. The Frenchman lapped the track in 1:35.771 in the wet conditions, a full 12 seconds slower compared to the times in the dry qualifying session.

Second fastest was Mike Rockenfeller ahead of manufacturer colleague and reigning champion Timo Scheider, with just one thousand of a second between the both.

Best Mercedes driver was Gary Paffett in fourth, two tenths behind. Marto Engel was fifth fastest ahead of Jamie Green and Paul Di Resta.

Pole man Mattias Ekström only managed 14th fastest time, over a second behind Prémat.

The weather conditions have improved, but it is still very wet at the track and there are dark clouds around the track.
