Dear Brands Hatch return for Coulthard
David Coulthard has not raced at Brands Hatch in 19 years. His last race at the British track was while driving Formula 3. The Scot is looking forward to return to the legendary track.
“I haven’t raced again at Brands Hatch since 1991, when I won both season races in Formula 3 – in other words the place holds “good memories” for me,” said Colthard.
The short and very fast Brands Hatch Indy circuit is different to the tracks Coulthard today is used to race at.
“The corners allow for extremely late braking. At other circuits, trying to gain time by braking late can cost you dearly. In Brands Hatch, however, doing really pays off,” said Coulthard.
The race this weekend is the seventh DTM race for Coulthard who is looking to have a crack at a top ten finish.
“I would be delighted to be among the top ten here on my home ground,” said Coulthard.
