Paul Di Resta heads final practice

Paul Di Resta set the fastest time in Sunday morning’s final practice session, just ahead of Audi’s Mike Rockenfeller. The Scot, who lies second in the DTM standings, topped the time sheets by just 0.080 ahead of Rockenfeller and a further trio of Audis.

Pole position man Timo Scheider was the first of those Audis, a further five thousandth of a second behind Rockenfeller, having been towards the top of the times throughout the thirty minute session.

Fourth was Miguel Molina, with Martin Tomczyk fifth.

Gary Paffett had briefly gone quickest early on in the session but could only end up sixth, one place ahead of championship leader Bruno Spengler. Rounding out the top ten were Maro Engel, David Coulthard and Oliver Jarvis.

It has also been confirmed that Martin Tomczyk has received a five place grid penalty after setting a fastest sector time during Saturday’s second practice session under yellow flags. Due to this the German will drop from sixth on the grid back to eleventh for Sunday afternoon’s race.
